MORGAN FREEMAN, SBN (4th Degree Black Belt)
Sa Bum Nim Morgan has been training in Kuk Sool WonTM for over 24 years, but has a total martial arts training experience of over 34 years. During this time he has studied many and varied styles. In 1997 he joined Kuk Sool WonTM and had the privilege of studying under Suhn Im Kwahn Jahng Nim (8th Degree Master) Phillip D Holmes (UK).
Since that time Sa Bum Nim Morgan has also had the honor of studying with Ji Do Kwahn Jahng Nim (7th Degree Master) ‘Doc’ David Williams who runs a school in Calgary, Alberta, and the founder of Kuk Sool WonTM, Grandmaster Suh In Hyuk, as well as many other senior masters.
Sa Bum Nim Morgan has been teaching for over 20 years. As well as teaching at his own school, Kuk Sool WonTM Horsham (UK), Sa Bum Nim Morgan has the privilege of teaching at Ji Do Kwahn Jahng Nim Doc Williams’ school, Kuk Sool WonTM Calgary West. He has also taught at Kuk Sool WonTM Eastbourne (UK) as well as Kuk Sool WonTM Brighton (UK), and Kuk Sool WonTM Bromley (UK).
Over the course of his teaching career, Sa Bum Nim Morgan has trained 8 European Champions, 12 UK Champions and 3 World Champions.
Sa Bum Nim Morgan has developed a reputation for his excellence of technique and dexterity with non-bladed weapons such as the middle staff (Bong) and the short staff (Dahn Bong) but especially with the rope staff (Jewel Bong) otherwise known as the Nunchaka.
In 2007 Sa Bum Nim emigrated to Canada, with his wife Pu Sa Bum Sa Nim Emma Freeman and had the pleasure of opening Kuk Sool WonTM Vermilion in September 2012. Sa Bum Nim Morgan travels to Houston every year to attend a school owner’s seminar where he trains with the Grandmaster as well as all the senior masters. This is to maintain a strict quality control and constant high standard throughout the whole organisation.

Pu Sa Bum Nim Emma has studied Kuk Sool WonTM since 1999 under Suhn Im Kwahn Jahng Nim Phillip D Holmes (UK). Kyo Sa Nim Emma started Kuk Sool WonTM after watching Sa Bum Nim Morgan for two years.
Pu Sa Bum Nim Emma had no prior martial arts experience before joining Kuk Sool WonTM. This did not stop her from progressing within Kuk Sool WonTM as her affinity for forms (Hyung) as well as technique has allowed her to blossom into a well-rounded martial artist. Pu Sa Bum Nim Emma has a particular passion for the middle Staff (Bong), which is reflected in her skill.
